CONNECTS Successful Connection
TSA Nigerian-based company (member of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce) posted an opportunity looking to establish a strategic alliance for the execution of consultancy assignments in West-African and/or other English Speaking Countries.
A UK-based company responded to the opportunity.
The Nigerian-based company
The company is a Firm of Integrated Management, Investment, Training, Industrial and Economic/ Social Survey Consultancy outfit of over 30 years’ experience.
The Firm has a large base clientele that includes Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Large Enterprises (LEs), Federal Government Agencies, State Governments and International Donor Agencies like UNDP – Nigeria, UNDP’s Oslo Governance Centre, DFID-UK, UN-HABITAT, UNFPA, The World Bank, USAID-NEXTT, The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Mathematica Policy Research, IBS Washington DC, USA, etc.
Their mission is to be the most preferred BDS Provider to MSMEs in developing countries through the development of cutting-edge technology and management processes.
The company joined CONNECTS in November 2018.
The UK-based company
The company’s skills are in software development and digitals skills training. They have worked in Kenya, Ghana and Seychelles, for UN and USAID funded projects. For example, they built the crime recording tool currently in use by the Seychelles police force and also a prison management system used in Kenya and Somalia.
The company (member of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce) have also built a survey engine into a CRM for a child-protection charity in Tanzania, whereby recipients are notified by SMS and requested that they complete a survey. The results are captured back in real-time for aggregation, analysis and graphical mapping.
They are also building a schools admin system and are looking for partners who are schools (preferably one per country) who would help specify and test the product in return for free use for say, two years.
They can potentially build any software app, given a brief.
The company joined CONNECTS in February 2019.
